The Essex Walking Football League is a not for profit community-based organisation and is dependent upon donations from our clubs/teams and other sources to be able to pay for our administrative expenses, tournaments and events.

All tournament costs are shared between the competing teams including referee fees etc. thereby easing the financial burden on the clubs organising an EWFL tournament. From Season 2020 onwards the ‘host’ club or the accredited venue holding an EWFL tournament and/or fixture cannot charge more than a £60 fee to each competing team. The £60 fee is to cover pitch hire, food, and Referee fees.
