At the 13th Dec 2020 Committee Meeting, Derek Hornsey was formally appointed as the League Chairman
At the 13th Dec 2021 EWFL Committee meeting Derek was formally appointed as the Essex Walking Football League’s new Chairman. Derek had previously been Involved with the eastern Junior Alliance as Referee Secretary
The League wishes Derek all the best for the future.
Other issues that were discussed were:
Covid-19 – The EWFL will continue to seek further guidance from HM Government and the Football Association to enable the resumption of walking football.
Season 2020 League Competition – Subject to the ratification of a full League Committee meeting it was agreed that the competitions could be staged through to the end of February 2021 if necessary, possibly in a different format.
